Catching Your Breath: A Workshop on Improving Your Meditation
Taught by Kobai Scott Whitney

Nalanda West:  Buddhist Study & Meditation Center
3902 Woodland Park Ave N
Seattle, WA 98103

For those new to meditation or those with long experience, this workshop will focus on how to embark on or “un-stick” your mindfulness practice. The Buddha intended meditation to be pleasurable and this class explores how to establish what he called “ease” in our contemplative practice.

Kobai Scott Whitney is spiritual director of Plum Mountain Refuge and a long-time chaplain and meditation instructor. He is author of “Sitting Inside: Buddhist Practice in American Prisons” and the forthcoming “Heart Open; Mouth Shut: The Twelve Steps of Buddhism.”

The workshop is dana only, that is, supported by the free-will offerings of those who can afford it. Call or email to register: 360.590.4535 or kobai@plummountain.org.

December 2008
Winter hiatus, no PMR programs scheduled except annual board meeting around Dec. 1.
